Our exhibition is about the work in black of couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972). It features designs dating from the 1930s to the 1960s by the couturier himself. There is therefore a clear distinction between the legacy of Cristóbal Balenciaga on display at Kunstmuseum Den Haag and the work of today's Balenciaga fashion house, which is currently the subject of controversy.
